Ravenscroft Group Company Profile

 
Ravenscroft started with a 15 bedded care home in Longton in 1986. In 1988 an extension was built to the care home which increased its beds to 34 and in 1995 a further extension increased its beds to 36.

In 1990 Ravenscroft purchased and in 1992 extended a nursing home in Longton, which provided 52 beds. This home was sold in 2000.

In 1994 Lancashire County Council (LCC) approached Ravenscroft to provide, initially at a very small level, community meals and domiciliary care.

In 2000 we were awarded a domiciliary rehabilitation contract for Chorley, crisis support services for Preston and South Ribble, and residential rehabilitation for South Ribble.

In 2001 we were confirmed as Preferred Providers by LCC for our homecare services and care home.

In 2001 we were awarded the failing domiciliary rehabilitation contract for West Lancashire.

In 2002 we were awarded the failing contract for domiciliary rehabilitation for Preston and South Ribble, and the interim service contract for Preston and South Ribble.

In 2003 we were awarded the extracare supported housing contracts for Preston and South Ribble.
